Owner & Jiu Jitsu Instructor
Jiu Jitsu didn't just change my life. It gave me one worth living.

As a younger man, I was lost and headed down a destructive path. Then I found Jiu Jitsu. What began as a physical pursuit became a way to rebuild myself through discipline, adversity, and the guidance of great coaches and training partners. That transformation is what fuels my passion for martial arts and my commitment to helping others experience the same kind of growth.

As the owner of Coalition Combat Sports, I have the privilege of leading a community built around continuous self-improvement. My approach to leadership is shaped by years of experience in martial arts, as a fitness professional, and as a business owner. Above all, I see myself as a community builder, facilitator of opportunities, and promoter of the martial arts lifestyle.

My approach to Jiu Jitsu is rooted in modern submission grappling, emphasizing practical, evolving training methods and thoughtful instruction tailored to each student's goals and experience. My classes are direct and challenging, emphasizing the focus, discipline, and commitment required to succeed in Jiu Jitsu while fostering a lifelong dedication to the martial arts lifestyle.

One of the most rewarding parts of my work is helping new students take that first step. I understand how intimidating it can be to walk into a martial arts academy, which is why I personally lead our introductory training process through one-on-one lessons designed to help every student begin with confidence and purpose.

Beyond the academy, I've had the opportunity to introduce martial arts to students at Mary Baldwin University, teach seminars, organize and host community events, encourage local networking and community connections, and coach local business owners. These experiences have reinforced my belief that martial arts are about far more than physical skill. They are a vehicle for leadership, personal growth, and stronger communities.

Coalition Combat Sports is more than a gym. It is a community where people challenge themselves, support one another, and become stronger together. I am grateful to the mentors, teammates, and students who have shaped my journey, and I remain committed to helping others find the same strength, purpose, and sense of belonging that martial arts gave me.
