Rick Palmer is a lifelong student of wrestling and Jiu Jitsu whose decades of experience have made him one of the most respected coaches in the region. A former collegiate wrestler at Adams State College, Rick built a successful competitive foundation before dedicating his career to developing athletes and coaches.

Since beginning his coaching career, Rick has led wrestling programs and clubs across the country, including in Colorado, Georgia, California, Washington, and Virginia. During his time at Waynesboro High School, he was named Valley District Coach of the Year five times and earned Silver Certification through USA Wrestling. He also served as the Scholastic Program Director for the Cavalier Wrestling Club in Charlottesville.

Rick began training in Jiu Jitsu in 2006, adding another dimension to his already extensive grappling background. At Coalition, he brings a wealth of technical knowledge, decades of coaching experience, and a passion for developing athletes of all ages and skill levels. Whether working with beginners or seasoned competitors, Rick is dedicated to helping every student reach their potential through disciplined training, technical excellence, and a lifelong commitment to learning.
